Matchplay Kampioenschap | Golf & Country Club De Palingbeek MATCHPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP 2025 Our passionate youngsters Jean-Marc De Grande (Deligout; industrial producer of Brussels waffles) and Louis Vandermarliere (Jeweler Vandermarliere) will once again be supporting the organisation and sponsorship of the traditionally well-attended Matchplay competition in 2025. Schedule: Matchplay Palingbeek 2025 The basic concept remains unchanged (3 series: Women's Singles, Men's Singles, Mixed Doubles): The handicap is recalculated after each round Prize pool totaling over €2000 Winners receive the famous trophy at the Closing Dinner Registrations are possible until February 15th and the competition starts on March 1st End of first round until April 27 Limited number of places, once full, registration is no longer possible Maximum 64 entries per competition formula (6 rounds) Men are required to tee off from the yellow tees and women from the red tees. Bridgeclub | Kaartspel Golf & Country Club De Palingbeek Bridge Enjoy exclusive benefits, club events, and a vibrant golfing community. Bridge club De Palingbeek has been around for ten years now and has about 70 members, of which forty bridge players can be found regularly at the green tables in the premises of the Palingbeek. During the winter months, games are played on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2 pm During the summer months, games are only played on Wednesday afternoons, so that golfers who also play cards have the opportunity to participate in the organized golf tournaments. Anyone who is a member of the golf club can join the bridge club. External members are also admitted under certain conditions and to a limited extent. If there is sufficient interest (20 people) from golf club members, the bridge club board will be happy to organize a new series of lessons. This normally takes place on Thursday afternoons during the winter months (October to April on days when no golf matches are held) for the duration of two courses. On April 25, 2023, the annual General Meeting was held. There, the outgoing members of the board – Erik Baeke and Geert Craeynest – were extensively thanked and the new board was introduced. The Palingbeek Matchplay Championship by Deligout & Juwelier Vandermarliere Our passionate youngsters Jean-Marc De Grande (Deligout; industrial producer of Brussels waffles) and Louis Vandermarliere (Jewelier Vandermarliere) have joined forces and will now jointly support the organisation and sponsorship of the traditionally well-attended Matchplay competition. We would like to thank Jean-Pierre and Cécile Desmet – Degroote for their many years of dedicated commitment to the Matchplay, which has come to be associated with and named after “the Flandrien Cheese”. The basic concept remains unchanged (3 series: Women's Singles, Men's Singles, Mixed Doubles), but Jean-Marc and Louis have also come up with some innovations.
