Vademecum | Golf & Country Club De Palingbeek Golfclub Vademecum In the Vademecum we have made a division between the main document and the appendices. The main document has a more permanent character, the appendices are documents that can change from year to year. With this vademecum we want to give a general picture of our club, in all its facets and in all parts of its operation. An operation with the dynamics of an SME on the one hand, and that of an association with members and valued volunteers on the other. In this we also want to indicate who is responsible for what and how the golf club functions. It is important that there is clarity, that the rules of the game are not open to multiple interpretations and that there are forms of interaction that everyone feels comfortable with. With the exception of the statutes, the vademecum and its appendices take precedence over all other documents and writings relating to the club's obligations towards its members and vice versa. As stipulated in article 10 of the statutes, the Board of Directors may further define, interpret and amend the provisions of these regulations. At the same time, the vademecum is also intended as a friendly manual, to get our less active members over the threshold and to make them a little more familiar with the club. To the active members, it is intended as a bundle of useful data that can broaden and deepen their view of the club. This vademecum has been updated with great enthusiasm. We are convinced that together with you we are continuing to build a particularly attractive club with an open, friendly, ambitious and dynamic atmosphere. Junioractiviteiten | Golf & Country Club De Palingbeek Junior activities Data Juniorlessen Jeugdkalender Junior & kids stages Junior Stages During the Easter holidays, the summer holidays and the autumn holidays we organize various golf camps at Golf De Palingbeek. We offer a program for young people who already play golf and for young people who want to get acquainted with golf. Our next internships are planned on: April 7-11, 2025: Junior internship, full day April 16 and 17, 2025: Kids stage in the afternoon* July 7-11, 2025: Junior Internship, full day August 20 and 21, 2025: Kids stage in the afternoon* August 25-29, 2025: Junior Internship, full day * Kids are young players up to 10 years old. Start 2 Golf Lidmaatschap Golfclub De Palingbeek Beginnen met golfen Start 2 Golf Membership Have you got a taste for it after such an initiation or do you want to see if golf is something for you? Then a Start 2 Golf (S2G) package is ideal! For 4 months you will enjoy a special rate with the S2G. You will learn more about golf step by step and you will fraternize with the members in our family club. And you are certainly not alone: every year we welcome around 60 new starters in our club! You will have access to all the club's facilities and you will be a member of our starters club. This will allow you to participate in specific activities tailored to our starters. On the Compact Course you will experience what makes golf so fascinating. Startersclub | Starters Golf & Country Club De Palingbeek Starter Club Take your first swing with Start 2 Golf! The starters club is an organization of our golf club that wants to bring together all starting members so that they can get to know each other and become well integrated into club life and golf. Anyone who starts and is placed on hcp 54 will be invited to attend a “Golf & Club Introduction Session” from now on. In this session, every starter will be introduced to the basics of golf and the operation of our club. Afterwards, a short tour will be given in and around the clubhouse. The S2G package includes vouchers for private and group lessons. In addition, you can practice freely on the driving range, the putting green, the short game area and the Compact Course. In order to participate in competitions on the Compact Course, a starter must first achieve hcp 53, which can be achieved by meeting the following conditions: Attend a practical lesson on the Rules Take at least 1 hour of private lessons with our coaches Jan or Ruben Attend a group lesson (1.5 hours) on golf skills, led by an initiator By playing 1 or more “good” matches on the Compact Course, the handicap drops below 53, and from that moment on the theory lesson on the Rules can be attended. As soon as the handicap has dropped below 49, an exam on the Rules must be taken, and the starter is ready to continue his or her path on the Championship Course. There, 9-hole matches can be participated in to further lower the handicap towards 36. For more detailed information (for example about how to practically arrange all of the above) you can always contact our Starters Captain: Eveline Claeys-Ceenaeme, the secretariat or one of our many starter supervisors. We organize a starters club every Tuesday evening and/or Saturday afternoon from April to mid-October. We recommend everyone to always be present at all activities of the starters club.
